The name is accepted, the e-mail name. Always the same.

You can change the name and address of the General Preferences "," page.

With Classic Mail - Click options / mail / General Settings (Administration)

With the All-New Mail - Click options / mail options / accounts / add or edit an account /

WELCOME TO CHANGE OF NAME:
1. Log in to your Yahoo! The e-mail account.
2. Click on "My Account" at the top of the page, near the center.
3. Enter the password for verification, then click Next.
4. Go to the "Address / Contact" information and click Edit.
NOTE: The name you enter in the name of the first field is the name that appears on the homepage of Yahoo.
5. To change this, double click on the current name and a new name to highlight it.
6. Click "Finish" in the upper right corner or bottom of the page, then again on the Account Information page.

Shotsie instructions do not work for me. "Welcome (my real name to see the contact's name)" always appears on the Yahoo Mail. I have the same problem and have my question of how to wind up an account / password. Here I answer when I receive a reply.
